I will be graduating in 10 days! I am so EXCITED!!! I cannot believe it. Almost here. 6 years waiting. Scratch that. 24 years waiting. I have worked so hard and I am so proud to be a graduate from the

I will not miss taking the TRAX (even though that attempt already ended 3 years ago). I will not miss making my work schedule in small writing so I can fit my all of my ridiculous school requirements. I will not miss paying for a parking pass AND for parking meters. I will not miss getting up at the crack of dawn to go to a one hour class only to return back in bed.
I will not missing paying tuition or for books I would open once, maybe twice during a semester. I will not miss driving up to the U seven days a week for work, clinicals, or class. I will not miss discussion boards or habitually checking WebCT. I will not miss Leadership class or any of my prerequisites. I will not miss waiting until the last day to write a ten page paper, double spaced, APA format, at least 4-6 references included. I will not miss wearing my student nurse uniform, you will never catch me in a white scrub top and navy blue scrub bottoms again. I will not miss taking the wrong folder to the wrong class. I will not miss forgetting a pencil on the day of a test. I will not miss filling in 15 letters on a scantron.
BUT even more so,
I will miss my nursing school friends. I will miss having a class to skip to go eat breakfast with my classmates. I will miss calling Aubrey, Kylee, or Brooke, to see if it is worth walking in 5 minutes late or if I just should stay sleeping in. (I really sound like a bad student at this point, don’t I?) I will miss seeing the deer in the graveyard across from the stadium. That by the way is one of my favorite things ever. Luckily I will still see them on my way to work. I will miss buying new notebooks, pencils, and book bags. I will miss lunch in the cafeteria. I will miss having an excuse to leave early (ooh sorry, I have school in the morning, or ooh sorry, I have some homework). I will miss carpooling with Brooke. I will miss studying in the library. I will miss seeing familiar faces in random places (everyone knows what I mean, you always run into someone you know in lower campus). I will miss seeing a good grade on something I worked really hard on. I will miss planning for fall and spring break. I will miss being a student of the
I will miss it.
But I AM SO GLAD I DID IT!!!

Sara, this made me cry. I think I am underestimating how much I love nursing school. I am going to be a wreck at graduation. Love you!
Sara! I forgot about the deer in the graveyard, thanks for the reminder. I love them. You're right, there are happy things that we will miss.
Sara- That was a great post! I will miss and NOT miss all of the same things. I will definitely miss hanging out with everyone on the sofas between classes and hearing everyone's exciting news. Nursing school has been a great experience :D
